Tummy Upsets

Upset tummies are very common on holiday as our systems can react badly to unfamiliar foods and bacteria.

 

  • Drink bottled water.
  • Taking Defense Plus (1-3 tabs daily) or Pau d’ Arco (1- capsule s daily) at the first sign of trouble usually solves the problem.
  • Sip a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water.
  • In places of high risk, like India, take Acidophillus (3 capsules daily).
Diarrhoea:

 

Drink lots of water as you can easily dehydrate. Fresh fruit juice will help to replace electrolytes.

 

Constipation:

 

If you’re prone to constipation this may be worse on holiday. Take some Puritee to drink before bed each night to keep you regular.

 

If you continue to have bowel problems after you return home you may have picked up an infection. A course of Defense Plus (for 30 days) will usually resolve this.

 

Over-indulgence

 

Uh-oh! Drank too much? Holidays are a classic time for over-indulging.

 

  • Protect your liver by taking Milk Thistle (1 capsule) before and after over-indulging.

  • NAC (2 capsules) boosts your liver’s ability to detoxify alcohol and helps you feel better more quickly.

  • Sip a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water. It works miracles!

  • Drink plenty of water. Alcohol is a diuretic and will make you dehydrated.
